< Ten-Fold Connect: Independent Spaces Connecting the Local and the Global > is a forum organized on the occasion of the 13th year of exchange between Gwangju and Bacolod. It brings together independent art spaces to share their experiences of international exchange and residency programs developed from regional contexts.
The forum introduces different approaches to residency and exchange through The Cycles (OverLab.), Orange Project, Spaceppong, and Horanggasy, while also including the perspective of an artist who has participated in residency programs.
Through these different cases, the forum considers how international exchange can move beyond mobility or one-time programs to become an ongoing relationship between regions and people. It also opens a conversation on the possibilities and practical conditions independent spaces encounter when building connections beyond their local contexts, and on how such exchanges and collaborations might continue in sustainable ways.
