독립큐레이터 오버랩
Independent Curator Group OverLab.
오버랩은 광주를 기반으로 활동하는 독립큐레이터 그룹으로, 독립기획자와 연구자 그리고 창작자와 협업을 통한 창·제작과 지역 연구에 몰두하고 있습니다.
2015년에 결성된 오버랩은 김선영, 박유영 큐레이터에 의해 운영되고 있으며 2017년 광주 월산동에 공간을 마련하고, 이를 거점으로 한 예비 독립 기획자/연구자 큐레이토리얼 프로그램과 예술가 공동창제작 프로그램을 운영 중에 있습니다.
그 외에도 《월산부르스; 전복된 도시》(월산동 일대, 2020), 《공감본능》(ACC 복합6관, 2021), 《WeavingLab.》(weavinglab.net, 2021-2023) 등 지역성과 역사성을 품고 있는 도시의 공간/주제의 협업형 전시프로젝트를 진행해 왔습니다.
아래 5가지 활동목표를 설정해 다양한 실험을 지속하고자 합니다.
OverLab. is an independent group of Gwangju-based curators that was organized in 2015. We focus on the creation, production, and local research through collaborative works with independent curators, researchers, and creators.
The group, which is operated by Kim Seonyoung and Park Yooyoung, has been based in Wolsan-dong, Gwangju since 2017 where it runs the pre-independent curator/researcher curatorial program and the program that suggests translocality collaboration to Artists.
OverLab. also engaged in collaborative exhibition projects on urban spaces and themes containing locality and history, including 《Wolsan Blues, Overturned City》(Wolsan-dong area, 2020), 《Empathy Instinct》(Asia Culture Center Creation Space 6, 2021), and 《WeavingLab.》(weavinglab.net, 2021-2023).
We will set up the following five activity goals to continue various experiments.

예술계 내의 관행을 넘어선 over 큐레이터와 예술가들의 활동이 정당한 대우를 받을 수 있는 시스템을 구축하고자 합니다.
We seek to establish a system in which the activities of curators and artists over(beyond) practices in the art scene can be treated fairly.

지역 내 인적 인프라가 부족한 독립큐레이터의 활동을 지원하고자 합니다.
We want to support the activities of independent curators who lack of infrastructure in the local art scene.

예술가와 큐레이터의 다양한 예술적 실험과 연구 Lab. 활동을 적극 장려합니다.
We strongly encourage activities like various artistic experiments and researches, Lab. of artists and curators .

지역을 가로지르는 Over 국내외 교류 프로그램으로 inter-region을 진행합니다.
We will carry out the inter-region program, which means "Over" crossing the region.

예술가, 큐레이터, 비평가 등의 시각예술 분야뿐 아니라 인문학 등의 다양한 분야와 교차하는 collaboration 활동을 지향합니다.
We aim to collaborate with diverse fields such as artists, curators, and critics in visual art as well as humanities.
