전통 산수에 콜라쥬 기법을 적용해 산수화의 현대적 해석을 위한 조형성을 탐미 하는 설 박 작가와 디지털인쇄, 종이접기, 회화작업 등 다양한 기법을 중첩해 자신만의 미학적 규율을 만들어내는 페이는 인간이 가장 편안하게 보호받을 수 있는 안전한 장소로서의 집을 형상화 한다. 안전한 피난처이기도 한 집의 안쪽엔 희망과 꿈을 통한 작가들의 염원이 놓여있고, 편안함과 안도적 존재를 위한 비현실적 구역으로 존재한다. 비현실적 공 간은 작가들의 다양한 꿈을 담고 있는데 수면 중에 경험한 비현실적 세계, 이상향 등 꿈과 환상들로부터 오는 이미지들이 자리한다.
Sul Park explores formativeness by applying collage technique to traditional landscape paintings so as to bring contemporary interpretations to such works while Faye Abantao has established his own aesthetic norms through an overlap of diverse techniques such as digital printing, origami, and painting work. Their work is a projection of the house as a place of safety where humans can be protected in comfort. The wishes, hopes, and dreams of these artists are placed inside houses which act as a safe shelter. This site is an unrealistic sphere for those who seek comfort and relief. Laden with their various dreams, this space is featured with images from dreams and fantasies pertaining to the unrealistic world we have experienced in our dreams.
