2015년 베니스비엔날레참여작가이자 사회,정치,경제,종교 구조들과 관련된 심리를 집중적으로 다루는 미디어 아티스트인 마니 몬텔리바노와 ACC-Rijksakademie Dialogue and Exchange Program(2015-2016)에 선정된바 있는 려은 작가는 존재와 시간 그리고 인간의 욕망에 대한 메시지를 담은 설치작품 및 퍼포먼스를선보였다.
Media artist Manny Montelibano took part in the Venice Biennale 2015 and has mainly addressed issues and psychology apropos of social, political, economic, and religious structures whereas Ryu Eun was chosen as one of the artists for the ACC - Rijksakademie Dialogue and Exchange Program (2015-2016). The two artists present , an installation and performance conveying messages pertaining to existence, time, and human desire.
< TIME=M+W >는 려은 작가의 < 존재와 시간_상실의 물성, 2015 > 작품에서 출발한 주제로, 두 작가가 동시대를 살며 겪은 정치적 상황·사회문제 등에 대한 소통의 과정을 거쳐 확장되어 왔다. 이는 인간의 정체성에 대한 고민이자 끊임없는 욕망의 순환성에 관한 메세지를 담은 작품으로, 오픈식 퍼포먼스를 선보이며 물성의 상실로 개념화 시켰다. 두 작가의 공동창작 일련의 과정은 작가적 시각으로 기록되어 이후 도큐멘트 책자를 발간할 예정이다.
Starting from the subject of Ryu Eun’s work < Being and Time: Material Properties of Loss, 2015 >, < TIME=M+W > has expanded through the process of communication between the two artists who experienced political situations and social issues firsthand. This work conceptualizes the loss of material property and conveys messages of concern for human identity and the endless cycle of desire. The process of their collaboration will later be documented and published in the form of a book.
